Aspirations at Powell’s
Aspirations week at Powell’s is a week of sessions dedicated to inspiring and motivating future superstars here at Powell’s School. We want all our children to understand the important role that their aspirations have in their lives because:
- Aspirations drive people to success
- Aspiration is one’s determination for success
- Aspirations help you make the right choices
- Aspirations help you follow the right paths and put effort in the right places
- Aspirations are known to improve life chances
Besides being a fun week, where children have the opportunity to explore their aspirations, dreams and hope for the future, it is also an important week to look at the skills need for future careers and how the careers and job world is changing and will continue to evolve with advance in technology and our understanding.
Each year we invite parents and volunteers from our local community to lead workshops and Q&A sessions with our children. Alongside these sessions skills-based lessons are delivered by teachers where children are given the opportunity to think about the skills and talents they have and those they may need to develop to be successful as they journey through life and think about their futures.
