Worship Groups

We currently have two Worship groups at Powell’s.

The children in our Worship Groups actively promote and help embed our Christian values and vision into every aspect of school life.  The group works together with the school to develop spirituality.    Our Worship groups meet on a weekly basis and work together to help plan and lead Worship assemblies based on our value of the term.    The children are proactive in considering whole school projects, charitable work, links with our church, prayer readings, and encouraging the participation of others in response to our worship.

Amongst other projects, the Worship groups are currently looking into our reflective areas within the school and considering how we could continue to develop these.

This term with our focus on the value of generosity, we have spent time thinking about:

• Loving others as we love ourselves
• Giving sacrificially
• Giving wholeheartedly
• Caring for creation
• Giving our time for others
